Abstract

In today’s globalized world, communication transcends language alone. This presentation explores the concept of Multimodal Literacy in ELT, integrating images, sounds, videos, movement, space, and text to boost engagement, comprehension, and critical thinking. Beyond language skills, learning is also an emotional process. By embedding Social-Emotional Learning (SEL) into multimodal teaching, educators can foster self-awareness, empathy, and resilience, empowering students to navigate both academic and real-world interactions. This hands-on workshop will equip teachers with practical strategies, digital tools, and adaptable activities to create inclusive, engaging, and emotionally responsive learning environments.
