On 22 April, two lucky winners will be awarded the Joris De Roy Memorial Grant.
In 2017, BELTA launched the BELTA Grants initiative to encourage professional development by giving financial support.
As an IATEFL Associate (the International Association of Teachers of English as a Foreign Language), BELTA has always encouraged its members to get to know IATEFL, join IATEFL as members and take part in IATEFL events.
That is why the Board decided that BELTA grants would support teachers financially to become IATEFL members and to attend the IATEFL conference in the UK.
In this way BELTA gives the winners of the grant the opportunity to join a worldwide network of English teachers and attend the annual IATEFL conference with thousands of other teachers from all over the world. If you like to know all about the BELTA grants and the fund that was set up to this end, please click here. The BELTA grant is called Joris De Roy Memoral Grant, in loving memory of the late Joris De Roy, BELTA Board member.
At last year's BELTA Day, Simon Halleux and Ana Lima were the lucky winners. With financial support of BELTA, they will be attending the IATEFL Conference in Harrogate, which starts on18 April.
Also at this year's BELTA Day, BELTA will award two grants to two lucky delegates. If you want to apply, all you have to do is fill in an application form and put it in the grant box on 22 April at BELTA Day. At the end of the day two forms will be picked from the box.
