This session is a step-by-step description of what an action research project looks like, from broad questions like “what is (and isn’t) data?” to specific questions of “how can I write up data?”. This will be your chance to talk to me and other people interested in action research, think about why you might want to do it and consider what sorts of things you may learn or unlearn from it. I will also address a number of myths about the world of research and suggest some ways of navigating the complexity of the academic world.
